The data terminal has functions including data collection, storage, processing and wireless remote communication. Downwardly, it collects data from water meters and via the bus. Upwardly, it sends the data back to the server by means of wireless communication (short-distance wireless communication would also be used to transmit the data back to the collective reading box).
